About PDAX
PDAX (Philippine Digital Asset Exchange) was founded in 2018 by Nichel Gaba, CFA, with a mission to give Filipinos from all walks of life easy access to financial services through technology. The platform enables trading of 100+ cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, USDC, and USDT, alongside tokenized government bonds (T-bills, RTBs) and digital collectibles via Mintoo. Since launching operations in 2019, PDAX has grown to serve millions of users nationwide with over 14% of Filipinos now owning digital assets. PDAX is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as a Remittance & Transfer Company (RTC), Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), Electronic Money Issuer (EMI), and Electronic Payment and Financial Service (EPFS). The company has raised $62.5M-$67.1M across 4-5 funding rounds, led by Tiger Global Management ($50M Series B, Feb 2022), with participation from Ripple, Draper Dragon, DG Daiwa Ventures, Jump Capital, and 12+ other investors.
