Sequence is a modular web3 developer platform providing smart wallet infrastructure, 1-click cross-chain payment orchestration (Trails), and real-time multi-chain data indexing as part of an integrated infrastructure stack. Founded as Horizon Blockchain Games in 2017, the company originated from building Skyweaver, a web3 card game, and created its own developer tools to solve wallet fragmentation challenges. Today, Sequence powers hundreds of games and applications across the EVM ecosystem, serving major clients including Polygon, Arbitrum, Immutable, Ubisoft, Google Cloud, Avalanche, and Take Two Interactive. The platform claims to support millions of users and players with billions of dollars in transaction volume. The company was acquired by Polygon Labs in January 2026 to power the Open Money Stack, combining Sequence's wallet infrastructure and cross-chain orchestration with Polygon's blockchain rails and Coinme's fiat connectivity. Sequence has raised a total of $39 million across three funding rounds, including a $20 million Series A in December 2025 led by 645 Ventures with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Salesforce Ventures, Dig Ventures, Firstminute Capital, Passion Capital, and Vor Capital. The company operates as a remote-first organization with employees across 20 countries and provides SDKs for Web, React Native, Unity, and Unreal Engine platforms.
