Trust & Verification
Every card on Curat carries a trust badge showing how its data was collected and validated. Here's what each badge means.
Self Reported
Card data was provided by the card issuer directly or gathered from publicly available sources such as the provider's website, pricing pages, and FAQs. This data has not been independently audited by Curat's team.
- Data from provider's published sources
- May not reflect latest fee changes
- Always check the issuer's site before applying
Curator Verified
A Curat curator has manually reviewed this card against official documentation — including fee schedules, terms & conditions, and reward programme rules — and confirmed the data is accurate as of the verification date.
- Manually audited by a Curat curator
- Fees, cashback, and limits cross-checked
- Badges refresh every 90 days
Provider Verified
The card issuer has directly confirmed data accuracy through an official channel — such as a signed data-sharing agreement, an official API integration, or a direct communication from their partnerships team.
- Confirmed by the card issuer directly
- Highest confidence tier
- Issuer notifies us of changes
About stale badges
Even verified cards can become stale. If a Curator Verified or Provider Verified card hasn't been re-checked in over 180 days, its badge downgrades to Needs Re-verification (shown in red) until a curator reviews it again. Always verify critical details — especially fees and availability — directly with the card issuer before applying.
